Foresight CRM vs Follow Up Boss: Agent CRM or Investor CRM?

Follow Up Boss is an excellent CRM for agent teams. Foresight is built for investors buying distressed property. The honest line between them.

Two different jobs on one desk. Illustrative scene, not a ForesightCRM screenshot; the real one is further down.

TL;DR

Follow Up Boss calls itself The Real Estate Team OS and builds for agent teams: lead routing, speed to lead, and follow-up discipline. It is very good at that job. ForesightCRM builds for investors buying distressed property: county foreclosure filings, auction and redemption clocks, skip tracing, and compliant cold outreach. The difference is not quality. It is which business you run.

Wholesalers end up in Follow Up Boss more often than you would expect. Usually it is because someone came from the agent side, or a coach recommended it, or it was already running in the brokerage. Then the first foreclosure list shows up and the fit gets awkward.

This page is about where that line actually falls. I am not going to pretend Follow Up Boss is a weak product, because it is not. It is one of the better CRMs in real estate, with a 4.5 out of 5 across 58 reviews on Capterra and reviewers who describe it as easy to learn and relentless about follow-up. It is just built for a different business than mine.

All pricing below is from public pages as of August 17, 2026: Follow Up Boss pricing and ours.

What Is Follow Up Boss?

Follow Up Boss positions itself as "The Real Estate Team OS," a central hub for agent teams to route leads, respond fast, and follow up consistently. It names its audiences as team leads and admins, ISAs, agents on teams, and solo agents. Plans run $69 per user per month, $499 for 10 users, and $1,000 for 30 users, with a 14-day free trial that requires no credit card.

Their lead routing is the standout, and it is more specific than most competitors manage: First to Claim alerts the whole team and rewards whoever responds first, Round Robin distributes evenly, and rules can route by ZIP code, by price point so senior agents get the expensive leads, or by listing so inquiries reach the listing agent. Inactive leads drop into ponds that agents can prospect freely.

They also publish a real open REST API with webhooks and documentation, which is more than most CRMs in this category offer, and they list 250 plus integrations.

Their AI is assistive rather than autonomous: call summaries, suggested tasks, suggested replies, and priority tags on high-intent leads. Their own AI page is refreshingly direct about the pricing catch: "there's no additional charge for AI features in FUB, but many of them rely on data produced by the FUB Calling feature, which is an added charge on certain plans."

Reviewers praise ease of use and support. The recurring complaints are cost as seat count grows, which shows up even inside five-star reviews, and the absence of batch texting.

What Is ForesightCRM?

ForesightCRM is an acquisitions platform for wholesalers and foreclosure investors. Every plan includes the power dialer, SMS cadences with compliance guardrails, and monthly skip trace credits. County foreclosure, probate, and lien filings are available across 3,300 plus counties, sold per county, with auction and redemption deadlines tracked on the lead record itself.

The starting assumption is different. Follow Up Boss assumes a lead came to you, from a portal, a listing, or your sphere, and the job is responding fast. Foresight assumes nobody called you at all: a filing hit the county register this morning, the owner does not know you exist, and you have a limited number of days before the auction decides the outcome.

That changes what the software has to do. It has to find the property, find a phone number, dial it, text it without burning the number, and put a clock on the record.

Feature Comparison

Follow Up Boss wins on lead routing, team management, and integration breadth. ForesightCRM wins on everything upstream of the lead existing: sourcing distressed property, skip tracing it, and working it against a deadline. Both publish APIs, though ours is on the Enterprise plan.

Pricing Breakdown: What You'll Actually Pay

Follow Up Boss is cheaper for one or two people who do not need dialing, at $69 per user. Add calling on the entry plan and a seat becomes $108. ForesightCRM starts at $149 with two seats and the dialer already included, and adds seats at $25.

Follow Up Boss, as of August 17, 2026

PlanMonthlyIncludes
Grow$69 per userPer-user pricing; calling and texting a $39/user add-on
Pro$49910 users, unlimited calling and texting, call reporting
Platform$1,00030 users, extra users $20

Annual billing takes those to $58, $416, and $833, described on their site as two months free.

ForesightCRM

PlanMonthlyIncludes
Starter$1492 seats, 1 number, 500 min, 500 SMS, dialer, 100 skip credits
Growth$2995 seats, 5 numbers, 2,000 min, 2,000 SMS, scoring, auction and redemption tracking, marketplace, 1,000 credits
Enterprise$59915 seats, 15 numbers, 5,000 min, 5,000 SMS, white-label marketplace, 2,500 credits
The honest math: two people who only need a CRM pay Follow Up Boss $138 and Foresight $149, so they are cheaper. Two people who need to dial pay Follow Up Boss $216, because calling is $39 per seat on Grow, while Foresight is still $149 with the dialer included. At five seats with dialing it is $540 against $299. The crossover is the phone, and for outbound acquisitions the phone is the job.

Who Is Follow Up Boss Best For?

Follow Up Boss fits agent teams working inbound leads: portal and website inquiries, sphere referrals, and listing traffic that needs routing to the right agent inside a few minutes. Their own FAQ says the product is not for anyone generating fewer than 30 leads per month or anyone who does not actively follow up on internet leads.

If you run a brokerage team with ISAs, buy Zillow or Realtor.com leads, and your loss reason is slow response, Follow Up Boss is aimed exactly at you and I would not try to talk you out of it. The routing rules alone are worth the switch from a generic CRM, and the API means your stack can grow around it.

Who Is ForesightCRM Best For?

ForesightCRM fits acquisition teams generating their own leads from public records rather than buying inbound: pulling county filings, skip tracing owners, dialing and texting them compliantly, and racing an auction or redemption deadline to the close.

In every plan:

  • Power dialer, no add-on, no plan upgrade
  • Cold SMS cadences with quiet hours, DNC screening, consent audit trail
  • Skip trace credits monthly, then $0.07 per credit; family uses up to 2
  • Lead pipeline built around distress signals rather than listing stages

Worth being straight about one thing: Follow Up Boss publishes an open API on every plan and we gate ours to Enterprise. If building on the CRM matters to you today, that is a point for them.

Sold separately or not offered:

  • AI Voice ($299) and AI SMS ($149): optional flat add-ons
  • County data feeds: sold per county
  • Auction and redemption tracking, scoring, marketplace: Growth and up
  • Portal lead integrations and agent routing rules: not our product (Follow Up Boss is stronger here)

The Honest Verdict

This is not a better-or-worse comparison, it is a which-business comparison. Follow Up Boss is the stronger product for agent teams converting inbound leads. ForesightCRM is the stronger product for investors sourcing distressed property and working it against a clock. If you do both, the two can be run alongside each other.

Choose Follow Up Boss if...

  • You run an agent team or brokerage with ISAs
  • Your leads come from portals, your site, or your sphere
  • Speed to lead and routing rules are the problem to solve
  • You want to trial software without entering a card
  • You need deep integration with agent-side tools

Choose ForesightCRM if...

  • You generate leads from public records, not portals
  • Foreclosure, probate, and auction timing drive your deals
  • Your team dials and texts lists every day
  • You need skip tracing and compliance built in
  • Dispo and buyer matching are part of the job

The Bottom Line

The tell is where your next deal comes from.

If it arrives in your inbox because somebody filled out a form, Follow Up Boss was built for that day and does it well. If it starts as a line in a county filing that nobody has called yet, you need software that can find the owner, reach them, and count the days.

That is the whole difference, and it is why we exist. If that is your business, start the 14-day trial and point a county feed at it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you use Follow Up Boss for wholesaling?

You can manage contacts and follow-up in it, and some investors do. What it does not advertise is the sourcing layer wholesalers depend on: skip tracing, foreclosure or probate lead data, auction date tracking, or cash buyer and disposition tools. Follow Up Boss names its audiences as team leads and admins, ISAs, agents on teams, and solo agents. Investors are not on that list.

How much does Follow Up Boss cost?

As of August 17, 2026, Follow Up Boss lists Grow at $69 per user per month, Pro at $499 per month including 10 users, and Platform at $1,000 per month including 30 users, with two months free when billed annually. Calling and texting is an add-on on Grow at $39 per user per month, so a Grow seat with dialing is $108.

Does Follow Up Boss include a dialer?

Calling and texting are included on the Pro and Platform plans. On the entry Grow plan they are a $39 per user monthly add-on. Follow Up Boss does not market it as a multi-line or power dialer. ForesightCRM includes its power dialer in every plan.

Does Follow Up Boss have foreclosure or probate data?

Follow Up Boss does not advertise foreclosure, pre-foreclosure, or probate lead sourcing. Those terms appear on its site mainly in blog articles recommending third-party services. It does integrate with Auction.com, but that integration is categorized as a lead provider rather than auction date tracking or foreclosure timeline management.

Which has the better free trial?

Follow Up Boss offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. ForesightCRM also offers 14 days, but a card starts the trial, with nothing charged until it ends. If trying software without entering a card matters to you, Follow Up Boss is the easier start.
